- Meaningful drills that will become ‘staples’ for your program
If you are ready to take the art of coaching to another level and instill confidence and knowledge into your team, this is the video for you!
Personality Types
Coach Baker begins by describing the importance of creating a connected team. She has found that by understanding emotional responses and personality types you can better reach each player individually.
By doing that, you create team connections, build trust and put everyone on notice how each person’s personality and recognition of others’ can be a superpower if dealt with correctly . As players begin to understand themselves and each other, they will begin to play hard for one another and learn to communicate in ways that will elicit favorable responses and respect.
Core Drills and Scenarios
Coach Baker shares several drills that have become staples within her program. While showing the drill and having the players play it out, she then enacts a scenario highlighting a specific personality.
She shows an example of a not so good way to handle the player and then explains why and how to better approach it with understanding of who they are so as to better interact with them.
Several drills are shown that work on shooting, defense, transition offense and defense, and set plays.
