Learn an offensive system that has won at the most competitive levels of high school basketball! This video will show you how to expand beyond your basic motion offense to a full playbook that can counter defensive strategies or highlight a specific player with simple adjustments. You will learn strategies for developing your own offensive system in addition to a collection of set plays that Joe Wootten has used to score when it matters most.

Coach Wootten will breakdown the common actions within his 3-out 2-in motion offense that incorporate multiple screening actions with strong post play. You will learn five different reads for creating advantages off pin down screens. The offense flows into new options based on the cuts of perimeter players. Wootten shows how you can counter any type of post defense with the correct seal on high-lows.

Opponents will scout your main offense and develop strategies for making things difficult. This is where the concepts in this video will take you to the next level! Coach Wootten shows how you can incorporate wrinkles to your basic motion offense that will present new actions to attack the defense. You will see how his basic "Stay" cut can be adjusted to incorporate a hard-to-guard back screening action. Another action gives you the option of combining ball screen concepts with stagger screens occurring at the same time. These and four other simple calls can give your offense a new personality that the opponent will not be ready for.

One of the advantages to a 3-out offense is the large gaps on the perimeter that create easier drive opportunities. However, your entire team must understand how to space in coordination with one another to open up the paint. Coach Wootten breaks down the reactions that every player must have in response to middle drives and baseline drives.

Entry Sets

You can further develop your offensive playbook with quick-hitting entries that flow into your base offense. Wootten shows six different plays that each include their own wrinkles to attack the opponent through a myriad of actions such as backdoor cuts, flare screens, flex cuts, and more. Enough options are presented to enable you to strategically call up plays for specific players in situations that play to their strengths.

Breakdown Drills

Building a complex offensive playbook can be achievable with many levels of competition, provided it is developed the right way. Coach Wootten demonstrates five breakdown drills that his high school program uses to train players with these offensive concepts. These drills can help any coach to improve decision making on drive reactions, perimeter screens and cuts off post feeds, as well as cross screens into high-low offense.

Special Play Situations

Wootten also shares numerous ideas for organizing your team for success in late game situations. You will learn how to easily communicate defensive tactics to your players with color codes. This can help to disguise your calls for strategies such as fouling to stop the clock, switching screens, and taking away 3-point shot attempts. You will also add nine tried and true plays that can deliver victory in critical moments. Coach Wootten gives you plays for safely inbounding the ball against extreme defensive pressure, quickly advancing the ball for a last second shot, and attacking man or zone presses. In addition, you will see four plays that can help you attack a 1-3-1, 1-2-2, or 2-3 zone defense.

There is a play for every coach in this extensive presentation from one of the top high school coaches in the country!
