Robyn Fralick has been a part of a championship culture at every stop during her coaching career. From developing champions at Ashland University and helping them to four National Title appearances, to rebuilding Bowling Green State University into contenders, she knows how to develop champions on and off the court.

As Coach Fralick states, her goal is to transform her players by the time they leave her program. In this video, Fralick details strategies that will help you build your own healthy team culture!

Core Values and Conditioning vs. Unconditional

When building a culture, nothing is more important than establishing your core values. This starts with teaching your players how to live them out on a daily basis. Coach Fralick discusses how she takes the time each day within her team's "share circle" to have every player recognize how they've done something to align to the team's core values.

Everything you and your players do matters when you're working to build your program. However, Coach Fralick outlines that you need to establish things that are conditional (depend on what is happening) vs. unconditional (things that are consistent all the time). As a coach, you have to establish right away that "controlling what you can control" matters most of all.

Who's In Your Huddle

Distractions occur all the time, both in-season and out of season. Social media, parents, friends, reports, and more are all things that can distract your players. Teaching them who matters most - who's in your huddle, in practice everyday, and there battling every day with you - is essential. Fralick takes the time to discuss strategies to help your players buy into who's "in your huddle."

Coach Fralick has proven she knows how to build a great team culture, having won two national titles while helping her players be transformed into outstanding young women. If you're looking to build your culture, this is an excellent video that covers ways to help make both you and your team successful!
