former Phoenix Suns Assistant Coach;
14-year NBA veteran, 3x NBA All Star, 2x NBA All-Defensive Second Team, member of Dream Team 2

Dan Majerle draws on his long-time playing and coaching career in the NBA to infuse his offensive system at the collegiate level with the tactics and plays that work at the highest level. In this video, you will see over 30 plays that can be used to score quickly in your transition offense or in the half court. You will see how the variety of actions in this extensive play library can help you get quality scoring opportunities from all over the court.

Learn how to space the floor in transition to easily score in your primary break or to quickly flow into a variety of quick hitters that can decimate a defense before they even have a chance to set up.

Transition on Misses

Four plays are demonstrated for transitioning off missed shots. You will see how you can run into multiple pick & rolls with incredible floor spacing using the "Drag" option. This strategy can be similarly applied to ball screens with your other guards in the "21/31" play calls. "Push" will create confusion for the opponent with some hand-offs and screening actions while adding in weak side hammer screen opportunities. "22/32" uses off-ball "Quick" screens to put pressure on the rim with cutters. Coach Majerle also shows how you can post a mismatch with your bigger guards versus defenses that try to switch their screens.

Transition on Makes

10 additional plays are run off made baskets. "Oklahoma" and "Oklahoma Touch" utilize a double drag screen with secondary screening actions to free up a big who can shoot. Three plays in the "Rub" series will create scoring options with a quick screen away for your trailing big in transition. Each play within the Rub series delivers a nice variation to the main ball screen action that gives you a unique scoring look.

Pound the ball into the post with a nice screen-the-screener action using "Cut". "Open" scrambles the defense with simultaneous cutting and dribble hand-off actions that will neutralize help defense on the ball screen. Lastly, the "Chin" series will give you clean layups off back screens for your point guard or take away the help from the screener's defender on the pick & roll.

Half Court Sets

Coach Majerle shows 18 different plays that can be run in half court situations through his "Floppy" and "Loop" series. 10 plays can be initiated from entries created from floppy action that create high-low post feed opportunities, off-ball screens to open shooters, and more. These plays are perfect against pressure defenses that will attempt to deny passes and disrupt your offense.

Majerle explains how to align your players against defenses that front the post. The Loop series creates guard movement from a 1-4 high alignment to get defenders chasing before they are slammed with a ball screen or other actions. Loop delivers opportunities for lob passes to your guards, open perimeter shots using elevator screens and hammer screens, and more.

Coach Majerle reveals a huge chunk of his playbook to share these highly-effective scoring actions with the masses. This video is so good that you are either going to be running these plays or guarding these plays next season!
